Application Description

Tarneeb is a card game for two teams, each comprising players seated opposite each other around a table. Using a standard 52-card deck, play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to estimate the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team can win in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper onto the floor; other players must then throw papers of the same type. The first player to successfully match the type of paper wins the "Bamh" (trick). If a player doesn't possess the matching paper type, they forfeit their opportunity to declare "Tarneeb." "Tarneeb" papers are superior to all other paper types; the player throwing the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger one is played.

The round concludes when all players have played their cards. Points are tallied. A bidding team must achieve their estimated number of "Allmat" or more to score points. If successful, the team adds the number of "Allmat" won to their score; the opposing team receives no points. If unsuccessful, the number of "Allmat" the team won is deducted from their score and added to their opponents' score.

If either team achieves 13 "Allmat" without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their score. If a team bids for and wins 13 "Allmat," they gain 26 points. Failure to achieve a bid of 13 results in a 16-point deduction.

The game ends when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more; that team is declared the winner.
